Typical Berlin food, organic meat, everything fresh and delicious. Wilhelm Bush has authorized the restaurant's name (the only one in the world!). Restaurant is more than 100 years old.

this isnt a restaurant, its fast food street take out. Typical "berlin-turkish" cuisine, nothing fresh, nothing healthy. Döner is only eaten by working class, unsophisticated and/or drunken slobs. I do not associate with those who eat such crap.

Erm... if'n you're reading this, you should probably just ignore the troll and go with the first comment. It's the best Bavarian cuisine in Berlin and just a lot of fun in general. Expensive though. Uh, I happen to agree with said review. Then again, perhaps my taste and culture requires something a little higher than Dönner Kebab, a drunkard's cuisine.

do they even serve doener at max & moritz? I thought it was all Berlin style: Eisbein, Sausages, etc.?

No they don't serve Doner. It's an old refined beautiful restaurant serving fresh organic foods. I highly recommend it.

I think someone went to the place down the block and was too drunk to notice. Max and Moritz is a sit-down restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. It isn't a take out.

I just rode past a Döner place in Schöneberg (on Hauptstrasse) that calls itself "Max and Moritz" & I suspect that's the source of the confusion---obviously ripping off the name of the famous place in K'berg. In the US this would be just cause for for an expensive lawsuit...

Thanks for clearing that up! :)
