Boulevard-Friedrichstrasse is a lovely small undiscovered resturant right in the centre of Mitte. Excellent food and atmosphere in this extrememly well run establishment.

Seasonal menu prepared to very high quality and service one of the best I have ever seen in Berlin. Food is Berlin, German and also European style. Good wines, beers and Schnapps!

Clientele varys from theatre goers (near Friedrichstadt palast, Admirals Palast and the Berliner Ensemble) to tourists staying in nearby hotles as well as many regulars.

There is a lovely terrace to sit out side ean eat/drink in summer or a cosy atmosphere for inside in winter.

A word of warning though if you want to go there for Sylvester (New Year) then a reservation is recommended as its Special menu is very popular!

We ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile (a strong rich wine). It arrived instantly, already opened. When we tasted it we realised they had just poured some cheap light red wine into the Chilean bottle. We are from Australia, and we know our wines very well!! Beware: this restaurant practices wine-substitution.
