Waxy's Irish Pub opened in Frankfurt in early 2008. We went there last week and have to say I was quite impressed. Nicely decorated and friendly, helpful staff. Great for large groups.

What I think lets this place down is the ridiculously high prices for the drinks. A wine spritzer at 5,20€ being more expensive than a normal glass of wine and Irish coffee at over 7€ is a bit steep for me to want to go there on a regular basis.

Steep price is what you paid for nice deco and friendly staff.

I liked the place for it's space, great music and friendly English-speaking staff. Would definitely recommend to those new in town speaking little German.

Nice place - went there over the rugby weekend and it had a really good atmosphere! The GORGEOUS brunette waitress was just a bonus to an overall very nice pub! Higly recomended *****

I agree wuth the muffin & when the staff tried to excuse the expevsive drinks by telling me the TV cost Euro 90.000 thought they were taking me for a fool. I pointed out thats what a Jag costs & they weren't so freindly anymore.

I like the interior here very much, it reminds me a pub which I used to go in London near Bond Street :D and the food is fresh but the portions are small! but overall quite a nice place.

Irish pub!!! Its a poor excuse for one. how many irish actually work there? for certain, not many. Too expensive, to dull and just a poor effort to blatantly copy waxy o`conners of london which in turn is based on quays bar in galway. Pathetic

Known locally as O'Reilly's for Bankers. That should give you the idea.
