Located where a cheap, low-budget steak house used to be, Vapiano's rapid market expansion philosophy swooped into Mannheim and secured itself an ideal location, right across from the famous Mannheim water tower and in a fabulously renovated "altbau".
Vapiano spans two stories; ample seating, with a combination of traditional dinner tables for two to four, or bistro style high tables and cozy lounge areas, make it easy to enjoy excellent Italian cuisine at fair prices and at your own pace. Collect your Vapiano card at the entrance and don't lose it, for that'll set you back a good 50 Euros. This is how you book your food and drinks.
Vapiano is purely self-serve. There are several food "stations", each dedicated to either your main dish, appetizers, salads or pizza. You like linguine with tomato sauce? Done! You can mix and match your favorite pasta and sauce as you wish, it'll be freshly prepared right before your eyes.
This is a great place for an informal after-work drink or for a small group celebration. I wouldn't take my date here for dinner, not until you get to know them of course, but Vapiano has definitely brought a little more class to Mannheim.
