The service at Thai Royal was abysmal. Neither I, nor the mixed group of quiet, polite french and germans that I dined with had ever experienced such a rude, insolent, nasty waitress as the woman who served us. Waited 40mins for first drink, 1 hour for starter, and 2 hours for main. In the 3 hours we were there we only got served 2 KÖLSCHES!!! And you all know how tiny those glasses are!!!! One dish brought was wrong, and was exchanged, but without even an apology. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. Very overpriced. Service appalling, really, really bad. I thought maybe it was a bad day, but it wasn't very busy, and I was told by a friend who has been there some months ago that the service was very bad.
Unless you are feeling masochistic, don't go to the Thai Royal in Cologne.
