Starbucks - Mannheim

Starbucks has finally made it to Mannheim. Any trip to Heidelberg and you'll see Starbucks filled to the brim. Now Mannheim can boast 2 locations. Located at the former Café Pavilion just across the street from the Wasserturm and near the Burger King, there is no parking, but there is a lot of foot traffic to suck passer-byers into this gigantic coffee chain. Lacking is a cozy lounge area; the design of the O7,18 locale could have been improved. Coffee is good, prices in line with some of the other coffee giants in the area (Star Coffee look out!).

Public transport: From the train station, it is about a 5 minute walk and is directly across from the Wasserturm. Or take any tram from the train station and get out at Kunsthalle (1 tram stop).

Public transport: From the MA train station, get out at the Marktplatz if you take trams 7 (Vogelstang), 1 (Schönau), 3 (Sandhofen), or 5 (Heidelberg) or walk the 20+ minutes to get there.
