Café Cajú is the friendliest place I have been to in Duesseldorf. The location is not the best (under the Bilk train station) but it is definitely the best place to have lunch in the area. This "luncheonette" is run by a very friendly Brazilian family who are happy to speak to you in Portuguese and make you feel at home. The women who work there, and many of the customers, are amazingly beautiful. If you are in a hurry, I recommend one of the delicious soups. The fruit drinks and salads are fresh, healthy, and taste good. My favorite dish is the goiabada and cheese plate, I don't know what type of cheese it is but I haven't been able to find a cheese anywhere else that so perfectly compliments goiabada.
During the World Cup they used a projector to show the games -- it's a great place to go especially if you are routing for the Brazilian team.

They sell many imported Brazilian products to take home. Also they are a wireless hotspot, handy if you are waiting for the train and need to work on your laptop.
